Freibergisch Schwarzes Bergbier

Type: Schwarzbier
Alcohol Content: 4.9%
My Rating: 7/10

- It feels like a heavy beer. It is sweeter than I normally like. I would like this more on a cold winter day.

Flensburger Pilsner

Type: Pilsner
Alcohol Content: 4.8%
My Rating: 8/10

- I really like this beer because it's weaker on the hops than most other pilsners. It's a great tasting beer. And it's in a really cool bottle too, no bottle opener required.

Erdinger Weißbier

Type: Hefeweizen
Alcohol Content: 5.3%
My Rating: 8/10

- I'm not sure if this is technically a Hefeweizen. The name, Weißbier means "white beer". So I guess it's a Hefeweizen. In any case, it is a very good beer. It is light tasting, but still tasty.

Ur-Krostitzer Feinherbes Pilsner

Type: Pilsner
Alcohol Content: 5%
My Rating: 8/10

- Despite it's name, you can't really taste the herbes. But it's still a really good beer. It has another dimension of taste compared with other pilsners.
- It sort of reminds me of Steam Whistle, except that it tastes good. My first Steam Whistle tasted bad, and I really haven't tried it since.

Krombacher Pils

Type: Pilsner
Alcohol Content: 4.8%
My Rating: 7.5/10

- This is yet another delicious pils. Pretty much every pilsner I've had in Germany has been very good. I can only dream of the day Canadian beer approaches the consistently high quality of German beer.

Hasseröder Premium Export

Type: Dortmunder
Alcohol Content: 5.5%
My Rating 7.5/10

- This beer has stronger taste than a pilsner. It's a little sweet, but still a very good beer.
- As an export beer, it has a slightly higher alcohol content.

Paulaner Hefe-Weißbier Naturtrüb

Type: Hefeweizen
Alcohol Content: 5.5%
My Rating 9/10

- I'm a huge fan of Hefeweizen beers. This one is really good. It is delightful in almost every way.
- Some people drink Hefeweizen with banana juice. It's actually quite good, but I still prefer a Hefeweizen straight.

Lübzer Pils

Type: Pilsner
Alcohol Content: 4.9%
My Rating: 7.5/10

- This is another average pilsner. Again, an average beer in Germany is very good.
