Feldsclößchen Diet Pilsner

Type: Pilsner (Diet)
Alcohol Content: 4.9% by Vol.
My Rating: 5/10

- I inadvertently bought a diet beer. It's an OK beer. I find it has a somewhat unpleasant aftertaste.
- It is still quite drinkable, but definitely not very good.

Beck's

Type: Pilsner
Alcohol Content: 4.9%
My Rating: 7.

- It tastes like Beck's that I've had in Canada, except I think it tastes better. Maybe there are some extra preservatives in the Beck's which gets exported.
- Slight emphasis on the bitter taste, but an otherwise good beer.

Radeberger (Pilsner)

There is a huge selection of beer here in Dresden, Germany. My goal is to write down my thoughts about the different beer I have sampled. This way, I can remember which beer I like, and which I don't like. I'm no beer expert, but I do have discriminating beer tastes.

My first beer is Radeberger, which is appropriate, because it is the most common beer available in Dresden (and definitely the most advertised). It is brewed in Radeberg Germany, which is located 15 km north east of Dresden. Watch out when you order it in a restaurant. It is commonly served in a 0.4L glass rather than the standard 0.5L glass.

Type: Pilsner
Alcohol Content: 4.8% by Volume
My Rating: 7/10

- Noticeable bitter taste but it is still light tasting and very refreshing.
- The bitterness lingers slightly afterwards, which I find pleasant.
- A good beer for a hot summer afternoon.
- 7/10, it's a good beer, but I find it a little too bitter and lacking in other flavours.
